Active Transportation Program

This program teaches young adults with developmental disabilities how to more independently walk, bike, and use transit in their communities. Additionally, it teaches young people how to be advocates for more equitable transportation options in Michigan and beyond.

Right now, this program is happening in Warren Consolidated Schools (Sterling Heights High School & Warren Cousino High School), Wyandotte Public Schools (The Jo Brighton Skills Center), and Farmington Public Schools (Visions Unlimited).

Check out the video below to meet some our students, and hear from them about the places they need to go, how they get there, and the challenges they face getting where they need to go.
